Il College Basketball Tour visto da: Princeton

Anche la celebre Università di Princeton sarà ospite in Italia per il College Basketball Tour.

Come tutti gli atenei che sono passati per il Tour, anche i Tigers, dalle parole dell'assistant coach Brett MacConnell, sono molto felici della possibilità di potersi allenare e poter giocare in Italia durante l'estate.

"Our trip to Italy in August will be very important to our program.  We are certainly excited about the cultural experiences that this trip will include, and the opportunity for us to grow even closer as a team."

 "On the court, this trip is very valuable for many reasons.  First, it allows us to practice for about a week in Princeton leading up to our departure for Italy.  This will be a great chance for us to start to build the foundation for the upcoming season.  Additionally, we will play 3 games in Italy against strong Italian professional teams.  Playing against high-level competition and veteran professional players will challenge our current players and push them to be the best that they can be.  We will learn a lot about ourselves in these games and will take back with us many things that we can work on to improve and prepare for our NCAA season."

"In campo questo viaggio è prezioso per diverse ragioni. Primo, ci permetterà di allenarci per circa una settimana a Princeton fino alla nostra partenza per l'Italia. Questa sarà una grande opportunità per noi per iniziare a costruire le basi per la stagione in arrivo.

Inoltre noi giocheremo 3 partite in Italia contro forti squadre professionistiche italiane. Giocare in competizioni di alto livello e contro giocatori veterani  sarà una sfida per i nostri giocatori e li spingerà a raggiungere il loro meglio.

Noi impareremo molto su noi stessi in queste partite e ci porteremo indietro molte cose su cui lavorare per migliorare e preparare la nostra stagione NCAA"

"Our goal every season is to win the Ivy League and this season is no different. Expectations will be high, as last season we finished 22-7 overall, 12-2 in the Ivy League and with a national ranking in the Top 40 in NCAA Division I basketball. We have all of our contributors from last season returning and we are excited to welcome back one of our captains, Hans Brase, back from injury.  Hans missed last season, but in ’14-’15 he was our leading rebounder, 2nd leading scorer, and finished 3rd in assists."

"Il nostro obiettivo per ogni stagione è di vincere la Ivy League e questa stagione non è differente. Le aspettative saranno alte visto che la scorsa stagione finimmo con un record totale di 22-7, 12-2 in Ivy League, e con  un ranking nazionale nelle top 40 in Division I. Tutti i ragazzi che hanno contribuito la scorsa stagione ritorneranno e siamo contenti di vedere tornare uno dei nostri capitani, Hans Brase, dall'infortunio.

Hans ha perso la scorsa stagione, ma nella stagione 2014-15 è stato il nostro miglior rimbalzista, secondo marcatore e terzo assistman"

"We also welcome 4 new freshmen to our program: Jose Morales, Vittorio Reynoso-Avila, Will Gladson, and Richmond Aririguzoh.  Ironically, Richmond was born and raised in Italy, before moving to the United States as a teenager."

Un ritorno eccellente e 4 freshmen pronti alla sfida, ecco come si presenterà Princeton nel nostro Paese, pronta poi a sorprendere in Ivy League!
